Cyan buds of desire catapults into Dr. ‘Strange’ Entitlement

Cyan buds of desire catapults into Dr. ‘Strange’ Entitlement Dr. Strange is the neoteric hot cake to merit the plaudit of Marvel Universe. The Marvel studio has contrived a pretty much threshold of well-turned story. And, indubitably, it has been levitated to serve a plenary visual treat in terms of distinguishable visual FX, cortege of fructuous imagery and Spartan spectacle even consanguineous cast by Marvelous unheralded concoction. This latest picture from the Marvel universe is not the demotic comic-book movie that fully justifies its reliance on CGI effects. Benedict Cumberbatch as anticipated (being the protagonist) pompously throbs everyone’s heart with his self-conceited élan. I could sense, like a doppelganger, Sherlockian self-condescend attitude with a tersed, witty limn and occasional funny bones.  Dr Strange after accident in hospital The movie opens with showcasing Stephen Strange as narcissistic Neurological surgeon wh

A short review on "The Simarillon": A Detailed and Illustrated history of Tolkien's Middle Earth

Image
Tolkien had created a great compelling world with a variety of intense characters. I met many of them for the first time in the "Lord of the Rings" series. Here there are far too many great characters to pen down.  The characters like Hurin and his son Turin, Beren and Luthian, the Valars, Feanor and not to  forget Morgoth or Melkor and his disciple Sauron are fantastically described and had been displayed in  all their flavors.  Mithrandir always has been my favorite and still it IMAGE by  http://greev.deviantart.com/art/Mithrandir-348547257 remains the same. Though I would love to read about all the characters far more than it is given here. These are only some of the immortal characters that one will come by in this book.   THE VALAR Photo source:  http://lotr.wikia.com/wiki/File:Tumblr_n2cn1tJpre1s3svhbo1_1280.png The book gives us a rich set of tales that explain in minute details the mythology behind Tolkien’s fantasy world. Sense of Rootlessness in Jhumpa Lahiri’s “NAMESAKE”

Image
“ The formation of a diaspora could be articulated as the quintessential journey into becoming; a process marked by incessant regroupings, recreations, and reiteration. Together these stressed actions strive to open up new spaces of discursive and performative postcolonial consciousness. ”  ― Okwui Enwezor   (web) “Quest for Identity” or “Roots” marks the Diasporic fiction. While major concerns of the most diasporic writers are fractured and fluid nature of individual identities they also points out the differences in exploring how new and old generation Diasporas relate to their land of origin and the host culture. Due to the displacement, Diaspora’s quest for identity, a sense of inability to belong becomes all the more problematic and desperate. The rootlessness, coupled with the apathetic attitude of host culture sums up to the sense of otherness and alienation. If seen metaphysically human beings seem to be in eternal exiles. Human beings do not have a permanent home a

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child : the next-gen Potter steals the show

Image
'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child' is a play based on a story by Rowling, along with theater director John Tiffany and theater, film and radio writer Jack Thorne, who also adapted it for the stage. The last Harry Potter book that is “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” published a little over 9 years ago. Going through the 1st few pages was like going through the memory lanes famous Harry Potter, Kingsroad Platform, Platform Nine And Three- Quarters  and our  favorite  Hogwarts who can forget those places, reading them again was a pleasure that I would love to have again. Albus Severus Potter is a lovable character and his friendship with Scorpius reminded me of Harry, Ron & Hermoine. Like every other character he had his faults but I loved him more for those. The special father-son relationship of Harry and Albus, Time travels, Haunting dreams of Voldermort all these made this story all the more interesting. The story opens from where “the Deathly Hallow
